Testimonials & Quotes
“There are so many things that I love about Ivy Gables. It’s always clean and well-kept. It’s a congenial place that would be good for everyone.” “Unlike other places that have assisted lifestyles, Ivy Gables has not only nurses who are helpful, but staff that truly become your friends. The staff is always there if you are sad or afraid. They are kind and able people who give seniors a warm and friendly home to live in.”
“Ivy Gables provides such a positive living experience! A wide variety of activities are offered, which keeps us on our feet! The facility is well-maintained, and I like that!”
“What were the first things that attracted me to Ivy Gables? Arden! And having the Candlelight Theater right next door. The grounds of Ivy Gables, with big trees and expansive lawns and gardens were perfect for walking. When I went inside, everyone was so friendly. I knew this was the place for me! The food is delicious, and I always have something to do, whether it’s socializing with the other residents or participating in the wide variety of activities.”
“After four months of managing in-home care for our Mom, we decided to look at some assisted-living communities in our area. Although very nice, the ones we visited seemed a little overwhelming to Mom.
A friend told us about a newly renovated community in Arden that had just re-opened. We decided to check it out. Thus began our love affair with Ivy Gables, a beautifully appointed 24-room senior living community nestled in the community of Ardentown, which just happens to be five minutes from our home. We particularly liked that it was a small community, knowing that it would be more comforting to Mom.
Of course, what's a beautiful community without warm and friendly people to bring it to life? The staff at Ivy Gables outshines all of its beautiful appointments.
They are top-notch, professional folks who welcomed us and have gone the extra mile to make our Mom (and us) feel at home! Knowing that our Mom is safe and in the hands of such kind and loving folks has given us such peace of mind!"
“My mom had a broken hip at the beginning of January and was released from Cadia Rehab with the recommendation of 24-hour care. We looked at Ivy Gables first because it came highly recommended from the Cadia staff, and we also looked at a few other places. My family and I fell in love with Ivy Gables and its home-like feel. Ivy Gables is a beautiful facility with top-quality staff, excellent food and lovely grounds in the back. My seven brothers and sisters and I all agreed that mom would love it there. We especially love the big bright four-season porch and have had many family gatherings there.
Mom has been at Ivy Gables a few months now and we continue to love the care and quality of service that she receives. She gets spoiled with wonderful fresh foods. They cater to her likes and dislikes too. They have taken mom out to lunch at nearby restaurants, visited Boscov’s on a shopping trip, and last week we went to Winterthur Museum and Gardens for a nice tour in the cutest transport cab you ever want to see. To top things off, the Arden Theater sent over some free tickets to a show that we have enjoyed. We also have done an Easter egg hunt with staff and patients' family. Fun times!
There are plenty of other activities, like painting bird houses, cooking class demos, making jewelry, painting small planting pots, a movie/activity room, daily exercises and trips out to see the vegetable garden in the back, if that is your cup of tea. They keep Mom so busy she doesn't have time to get lonely or bored.
I have only good things to say about the staff at Ivy Gables. Nurses, aides, chefs, directors, and maintenance staff all bend over backwards to be cheerful and loving. My Mom (who is 90 years old) thinks that Ivy Gables is now her home and she loves it there. I think she gets treated like a queen and always feels that she is well taken care of when her family cannot always be there. My Mom has blossomed and her health is the best we could hope for.
Ivy Gables is more like a home in the country than an assisted living facility. We are glad we found you.”
